Hi, I’m Miranda “Alaska”.

Creative leader with over 12 years of experience driving impactful design solutions for mission driven clients

I combine a deep love for culture with strategic design to elevate brand stories and create real impact. My work is rooted in human-centered design, accessibility, and universal communication. Having spent quality time in over 32+ countries, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when you strip away language barriers: all we have left to communicate through is design. That global perspective shapes how I build—ensuring every brand system, user experience, and physical environment is intuitive, inclusive, and deeply felt.

I hold a BFA in Communication Design from the Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design, which grounded my process in technical precision, sharp attention to detail, and a obsession with typography—from custom hand lettering and calligraphy to editorial design.

My work spans both screen and space—whether that’s making my clients shine in a digital world, printing tangible pieces, or physically building out an immersive experience for branded events.

Off the clock, you’ll usually find me trying something new, exploring outdoors with my Australian Shepherd, experimenting in the kitchen, or eating pizza in obscure corners of the world.

Why “SOJOURN”?

"Sojourn" means a temporary stay. Travelling the world taught me that human connection always comes back to how we communicate. This studio was built on that exact foundation: creating accessible, meaningful work that bridges cultures and leaves a lasting footprint.

We pride ourselves on our extended network of amazing illustrators, web developers, photographers, and marketing specialists that help us achieve the highest level of success on each project.

My daily "Mirandala" meditation. This practice helps me unlock creativity, presence, bliss, and magic. Which one is your favorite? 1, 2, or 3? 🌼✨
Sophie is a grounded, sprouting, spirit of blissful play and deep wisdom. When I think of the kind of friends I want to call in on my own journey of growth, I think of her. She is also a highly qualified therapist, parent coach, and movement facilita

I met a fellow calligrapher in Bali so we each made each other a work of art with a hidden message inside. Can you find the meaning behind them? I will send an original work of art to the first person who comments the correct guess on either one! .

Yes, I am currently living in Bali! I don't plan on being back in the United States until the end of 2020 for a brief stint. But you can still call me, beep me, if you want to reach me. The beauty of our modern world is how easy it is to stay connect
We always talk about how useless certain things we learned in grade school were, like, what am I going to do with this "theory of knowledge" class in the real world? What if we learned about kindness, honesty, respect, forgiveness, commitme
